Your Impact

The farm where you will be volunteering caters especially for women and their children who have been shunned by society.  The project offers education support to the children enabling women to focus on their own learning and agriculture activities on the farm.  With your time you can help by giving the children the support and attention they deserve or even helping on the land if you prefer.

Lodging

You will have a private room in a small hotel in Kathmandu,  a private room in the volunteer house in rural Nepal and a jungle hotel during your safari.

Location

The exhilarating, spiritual, cultural and artistic city of Kathmandu plus the peace and beauty of the hills of rural Nepal are the locations for this fantastic honeymoon adventure.

Volunteer Project

Volunteer in rural Nepal in a community where there is a day care centre for children and education support for older children, and agricultural activities to enable the women to earn an income.  The aim is to provide underprivileged children with a head start and support agrarian based families with their efforts to generate an income.  Some community members are women who have been excluded from society because they are widowed or have been sexually abused.  The project offers day care for young children and before and after school support for older children, including exposure to the Internet and a lab has been built to help with this.  Assist the local project team and provide safe and interesting lessons for these children while their mothers earn a living.  Those of you who wish to help with manual work can do so by helping the women with digging, weeding, planting and maintaining crops.  However you want to get involved, your presence will be welcomed by the project team and the community.
